5/10 Field Day!

Post by Goose on Sun Apr 19, 2009 4:09 pm

First topic message reminder :

May 10th will be a field maintenance day. Murdoc will be in charge of organizing this. Please post what you have for tools and supplies. Those with trucks please try to get pallets, they are free at the paper company and Home Depot. If you see any new home or consturction sites do some dumpster diving. Also trash day too. Lets plan on a 9-10 am start.

No games! Bring gloves, racks, whatever you got!

Actually, it would be perfect! Even if it overgrew, we could just cut it down for more bunker materials!

I was thinking for cheap cloth to put over a frame why not ground cover stuff you use in gardens.. would last ok and i think would take hits fine I have some here so ill test shoot some of it. It only cost like 10$ for a 3ft by 50 foot roll. make two 3x6 foot frames and hinged them together.

I can brimg a chainsaw, post digger, pick axe, rake, saws, shovels, etc. And if need be I can bring a wheel barrow too. As far as field ideas, anyone down for a spider hole or 2?

Raven, I likie what you are thinking. Not sure exactly how effective it would be during actual gameplay though. Still, it would be fucking awesome to pop up out of camoflauged holes in the ground like out of Red Dawn! Pitch some ideas and we'll see. My suggestion would be to put something like that on the fringes of the field so no one breaks something falling into one by mistake.

And another this for everyone: Anyone have time to go down to the field this Saturday? With all of the ideas for bunkers and holes and such, I think bunker building and all that could very well take up all day on the 10th, so I am interested in going down to the field to do the clearing of trash and general clean-up earlier to free up our time on the 10th for strictly re-designing the field. Anyone interested, let me know.
