5/10 Field Day!
First topic message reminder :
May 10th will be a field maintenance day. Murdoc will be in charge of organizing this. Please post what you have for tools and supplies. Those with trucks please try to get pallets, they are free at the paper company and Home Depot. If you see any new home or consturction sites do some dumpster diving. Also trash day too. Lets plan on a 9-10 am start.
No games! Bring gloves, racks, whatever you got!

Re: 5/10 Field Day!
I suggest a total total clear cut from zones F to I and build then.

Good pre-made walls for $24 for 6X8 foot section.

idea for windows to otther a little deflection.
Each wall would be roughly $30, depending on the post cost. The posts then could be cut down and mitered to make legs on the walls so they are mobile and sturdy. Plus some could be cut in half to make two 3 foot walls as well. Then also make doorways, windows, or hallways.
My suggestion would be for all those that were going to go to Wasteland to take that $30 you thought was spent and build a wall. That would be 12 walls!!! More if some are cut in half!!!

Re: 5/10 Field Day!
I think that both of the above products would be IDEAL for building bunkers at the field for a variety of reasons: first, the pre-made walls would be much cheaper than making our own, and secondly, it would give the field bunkers a uniform look which would make the field look less ramshackle and more professional in appearance. Great job to GOOSE for tracking this stuff down. On Sunday, we'll discuss if the team would be interested in buying and converting a number of these sections.

Cut some in half height wise. Then cut length wise two and hinge em so they stand real easy and easy to move

Re: 5/10 Field Day!
Well gang, so far there has been a lot of progress on the field this weekend. Big thanks to Raven, Saint, and Yellow Scarf for their help on the field on Saturday. The back area is now cleared and almost ready for the building of our new fort! Today, Raven and I will head out to the field to do some clean up and try to touch up some of the worst areas so that the field is ready for play on the 24th. What we need to start figuring out now is how to transport the playhouse from Neil's backyard dwon to the back of the field. This thing is HUGE and will provide the skeleton for the fortress we will build it into. Any ideas are of course welcome. Future field days will be announced once I can get together with the team and find a day when we can ALL get out there. If we can get all of Alpha on the field working at once, I bet we can finish almost everything in one day!
